As longtime festival planners, as well as being the team behind RI VegFest, we strongly believe that a rising tide lifts all ships. We want nothing more than for other vegan events here in New England to be successful, because if they are successful, that means the vegan and vegan-friendly businesses who participate can be successful, and if those businesses are successful, our community grows and thrives. This is why we have made the difficult, but ultimately right decision to move the inaugural Vermont VegFest to September 20th, 2025.

Our good friends at Boston VegFest accidentally booked their annual event on the same day as Vermont VegFest. Their event has historically been held in October, but due to limitations at their venue, they booked in September 2024 without realizing that we had announced our date many months prior.  After communicating with the organizers of Boston VegFest and with several concerned vegan businesses, we decided that moving the Vermont VegFest date forward is in the best interest for the vegan and vegan-friendly businesses hoping to participate in both events. It is important to us, and to the organizers of Boston VegFest, that these businesses have as many opportunities as possible to pop-up and be successful in front of big enthusiastic crowds of veg eaters and people who are curious about vegan living. 

While we’re sad to postpone our event to 2025, something great that has come out of this little mixup - many New England vegan event organizers are now in contact with each other and are sharing our event dates and calendars to not only avoid overlap in the future, but to promote each other's events to really help our compassionate community flourish.  

We’ll be releasing more news and re-opening vendor applications for 2025 soon, but until then, we hope you’ll check out Boston VegFest on September 28th and our 5th Annual RI VegFest on February 1st and 2nd in Providence, Rhode Island. We've been hosting RI VegFest since 2020, and it brings a sold out crowd of about 5000 people to Providence and we hope you take the trip down to join us.
